I've always been fascinated by one question:
What makes us human?
That question has led me to study psychology, challenge assumptions, and develop a deep appreciation for the incredible complexity of the human mind.
Psychology gives us language for experiences we've often struggled to explain. It helps us understand why we think the way we do, why we react the way we do, how our relationships shape us, and how our experiences influence the people we become. More importantly, it reminds us that human behavior is rarely as simple as it first appears.
This space is dedicated to making psychology approachable, evidence-based, and relevant to everyday life. As I continue my education and eventually pursue a career in counseling psychology, I'll be sharing what I'm learning, breaking down research into practical ideas, and exploring topics through the lens of curiosity and compassion.
I'm not here to pretend I have all the answers. I'm here to learn alongside you, ask thoughtful questions, and encourage critical thinking. Together we'll explore psychology not as a collection of facts to memorize, but as a tool for understanding ourselves and the people around us more deeply.
If you've ever wanted to better understand your mind, improve your relationships, or simply become a more thoughtful observer of the human experience, I hope you'll continue learning with me.
Because understanding creates compassion.
Stay curious,
Ashley Franzen
